Welcome to Castelo Beach Resort

Family Holidays, Corporate Events, Fishing, Honeymoons & Getaways

Castelo Beach Resort is set on the northern tip of the Linga Linga peninsula in Inhambane Bay, a part of southern Mozambique known for its quiet coastline, shallow tidal waters, and wide, open views.

This stretch of coast has a very specific feel to it. Mangroves line parts of the bay, birdlife is constant throughout the day, and the landscape shifts with the tides, exposing sandbanks and small islands that you can walk to or explore by boat. It's the kind of environment where you're always aware of the water around you.

There's also a bit of history built into the property, with remnants of a Norwegian whaling station dating back to the early 1900s still present on site. It adds context to the area without taking away from what the resort is today.

Now, Castelo is known as a Mozambique beach resort that people return to for different reasons. Some come for fishing trips out in the bay, others for family holidays, honeymoons, or small corporate getaways. It works because everything is centred around the setting, not a schedule.

What We Stand For

Our Values

Sustainability

We work with the natural environment around us, not against it. The way the resort operates is shaped by the coastline, the tides, and the surrounding landscape.

Excellence

Comfort matters, but so does consistency. From the rooms to the small details, everything is kept simple, well-maintained, and easy to enjoy.

Community

The people behind Castelo are part of what makes the experience what it is. Local knowledge, hospitality, and a relaxed way of doing things all come through in how guests are welcomed.

Guest Experience

No two stays look exactly the same. Some come for fishing, others for time away with family or a quieter break, and the experience naturally adapts around that.

Activities & Facilities for Your Stay

There's plenty to do here, but nothing feels forced or overplanned.

Being set on Inhambane Bay means most of the experience naturally revolves around the water. Days can be spent fishing, snorkelling, kayaking, or heading out on a boat to explore the mangroves, sandbanks, and surrounding coastline. Depending on the tide, even the landscape changes, which makes each day feel slightly different from the last.

Back at the resort, things stay just as easy. There's a pool and deck area overlooking the beach, a bar and restaurant for long, relaxed meals, and a mix of indoor spaces like the lounge, games room, and library when you feel like slowing things down.

It's a balance between doing as much or as little as you want, without needing to plan every moment.
