By accessing this website or making a booking with Castelo Beach Resort, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

1. Reservations & Bookings

All bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit or full payment as specified at the time of reservation. Castelo Beach Resort reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion.

2. Payment

A deposit is required to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is due prior to or upon arrival, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept payment via electronic funds transfer (EFT) and other methods communicated at the time of booking. All rates are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to our reservations team. The following terms apply:

  • Cancellations made more than 30 days before arrival: full deposit refunded, less an administrative fee.
  • Cancellations made 15–30 days before arrival: 50% of the deposit is forfeited.
  • Cancellations made fewer than 14 days before arrival: the full deposit is forfeited.
  • No-shows will be charged in full.

Castelo Beach Resort reserves the right to cancel a booking in exceptional circumstances (e.g. force majeure, safety concerns). In such cases, a full refund or alternative dates will be offered.

4. Check-In & Check-Out

Standard check-in time is 14:00 and check-out is 10:00. Early check-in or late check-out may be available on request and is subject to availability. Guests arriving after 17:00 should notify us in advance, as boat transfers do not operate after this time.

5. Guest Conduct

Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward staff, other guests, and the natural environment. Castelo Beach Resort is a coastal property — please treat the beach, marine life, and surrounding ecosystem with care. We reserve the right to ask any guest whose behaviour is disruptive or harmful to leave the premises without a refund.

6. Children & Age Restrictions

Children are welcome at most of our accommodation options. However, certain units (including the Cassinga Villa) do not accommodate children under 6 years of age. Please confirm restrictions at the time of booking. Boat transfers are complimentary for children aged 6 years and under.

7. Liability

Castelo Beach Resort shall not be held liable for any loss, injury, or damage to guests or their property during their stay, including during water activities, transfers, or excursions arranged through the resort. Guests participate in all activities at their own risk. We strongly recommend that all guests obtain appropriate travel insurance prior to arrival.

8. Damages

Guests will be held responsible for any damage caused to property, furniture, or equipment during their stay. The cost of repair or replacement will be charged to the guest accordingly.

9. Website Use

The content on this website is provided for informational purposes only. We make every effort to ensure accuracy, but we do not warrant that all information is complete, current, or error-free. Castelo Beach Resort reserves the right to update or remove content at any time without notice.

10. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mozambique and, where applicable, the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with these jurisdictions.
